Taylor Moody @mostlymoody
Taylor Moody is the founder of The Connect Dallas. She’s from the DFW area but was originally born in Iowa. Taylor loves everything about Dallas, especially the food, the people, and the culture. She moved back to Dallas from Chicago, where she graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Intercultural Communications. She founded The Connect Dallas back in 2017 after moving back to Dallas and seeing a need for a positive space in the city where millennials could come together and make real and meaningful connections. You can find Taylor on Instagram @mostlymoody and on Facebook where she shares small things that humor her and glimpses of some of her other passions such as fashion, food(especially baking!), and politics.

Torrian Timms @torrianisallthings
What’s good Connect Dallas Family?! Meet Torrian Timms, our Social Media Manager! Torrian is a native of the Dallas area. By day, Torrian is as S.T.E.M. educator for Dallas ISD and community S.T.E.M. activist for inner-city communities. She enjoys exposing students to the marvels of science. By night, Torrian is everything else, namely, natural beauty and lifestyle content creator, entrepreneur, and secret brand strategist! Her passion lies in inspiring women to be all they can be without limits, she founded her blog “She is All Things” in 2018 to show how she finds balance (and sometimes doesn’t) being a full-time 9-5’er (9-9’er on some days lol) and delving into her other passions. In the future, she plans to tackle more taboo topics such as depression, toxic habits, long-term dating - to name a few! Naturally, “She is All Things” developed a tribe” and in 2018, she created a merch shop (sheistheshop.com) and a social media space on Instagram (@sheisallthings) to give women a daily dose of inspiration and motivation. (She is strongly considering a podcast in the future, shhhh!) Since locking her hair about 5 years ago, Torrian has begun sharing her loc journey via YouTube: Torrian Timms, A Space for All Things Locs & Life! She’s a loc hair enthusiast and loves to focus on medium length loc’d hair and show the versatility of the seemingly permanent and boring style. You can expect GRWM’s, Loc Style Inspo, Locs & Life Chats, and so much more! She’s had the opportunity to work with brands such as “The Doux” and “K.E. Essentials.
Torrian joined The Connect Dallas to do just that, Get Connected to people in Dallas! Although a native, the city is constantly growing and changing! There are new faces popping up every day and she knew sitting on the couch watching Netflix would not allow her to thrive in such a dope city!
Daniela Umunnakwe @daniulive

My main goal is to work in the social work field, I want to be able to make a difference, but outside of the professional world, I run a foodie page on Instagram called @daniulive I’m in the process of understating my process and goal with having a foodie page. From being a new Dallas lead for the social tea and also connecting with The Connect Dallas being involved with so many goal driven entrepreneurs it allows me to re educate myself on newer ways on becoming successful. My hobbies include modeling, running my foodie, eating haha and networking with the right people, personable people. Something very important to me would definitely be my family and my love for God and to continue to talk to him. And I think it’s important to get and stay connected because there’s moves to make and there is always a event going on, it’s so important to stay updated on the new things happening in this world.
